Falcon 7X - Exceptional Aircraft for a Private Jet Charter Dubai Flight

Part 1

private jet charter aircraft for dubai flights

Of the many features that make the Falcon 7x such an exceptional private jet charter Dubai option, with that big cabin and ultra-long-range is the fly-by-wire technology that connects the pilot to the flight controls, which is a first for business jets. Dassault insists on calling this the digital flight control system (DFCS) because all of the computers are digital rather than analogue, but to a pilot the point is that there are no mechanical links between the cockpit controls and the surfaces that actually fly the airplane to destinations such as Dubai.

Dassault have been building very capable military fighters using DFCS for over 30 years, and that experience really shows in the flying characteristics of the 7X private jet charter.  A fighter jet has to be manoeuvrable, but less obvious in a fighter is the need for smooth and steady flight with minimum of demands on a pilot. While jinking around during a dog-fight is a necessary capability, the routine mission of a fighter is to deliver weapons on to ground targets or to shoot over the horizon at other aircraft. In both cases, a stable and steady jet pass is the main guarantee of success.

When it comes to the business or private jet mission a smooth flight with the precision to make a safe touchdown in the worst weather is what everybody needs, especially the passengers. So in the 7X jet the  IT at the heart of the DFCS keep the airplane on a regular path until the human pilots or the autopilot trequests a change. The IT automatically corrects for gusts or turbulence that move the jet from its planned flight path, which keeps the aircraft flying to where you want it to go, but also has the unplanned effect of smoothing out the ride. Because the DFCS system quickly makes very small control movements when the aircraft hits turbulence, the thumps, wallows and rolls that plague other aircraft experiences are minimized. The long and extremely flexible wings also help damp out the jolts of turbulence that are transmitted to the cabin.

An Ideal Private Jet Charter Dubai

private jet charter dubaiBut back to what it's like to fly the Falcon 7X. The best way I can describe it is that you simply point and fly.  Put the jet on the flight path to Dubai and it will stay there until you make a new input.

The sensation of flying the Falcon 7X is entirely natural with the jet responding smoothly, and exactly as you would expect. However, once the airplane is headed to where you want it to go, you notice the difference because you have always had to trim off the stick force in every other airplane you might fly, but not with this jet. When the flight path indicator on the PFD is on track, you simple have to release pressure and the stick centers and the 7X stays right on that path. It only takes you a couple of minutes to forget about trim, but after a lifetime of flying other airplanes, it can come as a really pleasant surprise.
E.g. on rotation for take-off you are going to be holding the same stick force against the springs when the flight path reaches the correct track as you were when you started to bring the nose up. In any other jet, if you release the back pressure the nose will drop looking for its trim speed, so you have to hold the stick back until you can trim off the pressure. In the 7X, however, the jet is constantly trimming automatically to maintain a constant flight path.
The Falcon 7X allows the pilot to think about the flight in a new way. Instead of concentrating on how to make the airplane fly, you can focus on where you want it to go. You simply see the flight path on the PFD, then you see the flight path command, and you simply adjust the path to where you want it. The pilot workload has been cut to a fraction of what it normally takes to fly a regular jet.

The 7X is the first Falcon update since the three-engine Model 50 was developed in the 1970s. The large cabin 900 series and the twin-engined 2000 family are all derived from the excellent work done on the Model 50. Dassault pioneered the use of CAD, and although the company has used computers in the design of all of the jets since the Falcon 50, the 7X is the first that can boast a truly a virtual design. Engineers used computers at every step of the creation to optimize performance of the finished aircraft, as well as minimize weight, streamline the manufacturing process, and to reduce maintenance requirements and complexity. And as is to give final proof that aviation is now a fully global enterprise, all the original documentation of the 7X was done in English, which is very a big step for the French.

A Whole New Way To Manufacture a Private Jet Charter Aircraft

Dassault used "product life management" teams which were linked by computers with 400 people working on the project spread across 7 countries. The main airframe components are built by half a dozen companies and are then brought together for the final assembly at the Dassault factory located in Bordeaux. The unfinished airframes are flown to Little Rock where the paint and interior work is all done.

What has not changed in the design of the 7X are the basic assumptions about long range airplanes, foremost being that they should have three engines. The 7X private jet is certainly the most technologically advanced business jet yet, but the company sticks to the basics when it comes to the number of engines it thinks you should have when heading out over a wide ocean to places like Dubai. While the most of the aviation industry has moved to a allowing large twin engine airline jets to fly four hours away from a suitable alternate, Dassault and Falcon owners just feel more comfortable with an extra engine. Also, the 7X is realtively light and low in drag that even with the 3 engines it has the best fuel use in this ultra-long-range private jet class.

Tidy Desk, Tidy Mind, Cable Tidy

cable organizer
There is a real realtionship between how tidy your space is and your levels of productivity and stress. According to one US study, the more tidy the office or house, the more relaxed and productive most people feel. This particularly applies to desk space.

Tidy Desk, Tidy Mind: The Facts

In 2011, Russell Research in the US carried out a study on the subject of tidiness and stress on behalf of the personal organizing website "Rubbermaid". They found that 91% of participants feel "overwhelmed" by the untidiness of their house. On top of this really significant figure, 57% of those questioned said that an untidy house is one of their top causes of stress, while 42% said that having an untidy space makes them feel more anxious and just under half claimed they won't invite friends to their home when they feel like it's cluttered.

The same study also concluded that most of the participants were a lot happier when their homes were tidy and felt that an organised home really reduced their stress levels. So now we know the facts, how do you go about keeping a tidy desk and with it, a tidy mind?

Cable Management

cable managementGood cable management is probably the easiest way to keep your desk tidy and clear. Cables tangle so easily, creating both mess and stress. The best way to keep each cable tidy is to acquire some sort of cable organizer. You can get them in various shapes and sizes and they will keep untidy cables out of sight, leaving you to get on with your work stress free.

Use a Label Maker

Label makers are a handy item to have, not just for labeling folders but also for cable labeling. Once you’ve sorted your cable organizer, cable labels will help you to easily track which cable connects to which piece of equipment without having to take apart the entire cable tidy.

The Old Classic - In and Out Trays

You just can't beat a basic tray system for keeping the paperwork in order,  They're an inexpensive way to organise loose pieces of paper that may be stacked untidily. This stops the heaped stacks from falling and creating extra mess, or even getting lost.

Keyboard Tidy

Attach some cheap Velcro to the underside of your keyboard and the wall or side of your desk. When you need a clear desk for writing or sorting out paperwork, just stick the keyboard to the Velcro and hey presto - it’s out of the way.

Weekly Purges

And at the end of the day, the simplest way to deal with the mess is just remove it.  Do a weekly lean up to keep your desk tidy, along with cable management and paper trays.

So there you go - a tidy desk equals a tidy mind. Just follow these simple tricks and you’ll find that productivity flows and stress is a thing of the past.

Engineering is a Highly Diverse Industry Sector, thanks to CNC Machining

Over the past two or three decades, the advent of the Digital Age has transformed almost every aspect of our lives, and this is particularly true in the way we do our jobs. In every industry sector, from telecommunications and transport to energy and education, major changes have made the average working day almost unrecognisable when compared to the very recent past.

In the intensive environment of the average engineering workshop, you will still find plenty of examples of metal fabrication, and in many cases the techniques involved in such projects are still basically the same as they ever were. When it comes to CNC machining, however, the methods used to create items such as gaskets and brackets have changed beyond all recognition.

In the past, manufacturing such items, especially on a long production run, was always something of a hit and miss affair. Even the very best engineers would only be able to produce objects which very closely - but not exactly - matched one another. There would almost always be a slight discrepancy between each item, even if such discrepancies were only apparent under close inspection.

It’s all about the precision

But the increasing affordability of CNC machining, and the improved quality of the final products, has allowed manufacturers to produce exact matches time after time. Such feats of high precision engineering may well have seemed unachievable even in the fairly recent past, but they are a fact of life now. For customers, it’s good to know such accuracy is only ever a phone call away.

Many large workshops take on a diverse range of orders in any given week, from precision-based manufacturing to large-scale metal fabrication projects. Those individuals who make their living in this fascinating sector will know they need to be adaptable at all times, because they could end up working on a large number of very different tasks over the course of a given working week.

Thanks to this adaptability, the engineering sector remains as reliant on old techniques as it is invigorated by the new. Both CNC machining and metal fabrication stand side by side as examples of just how tradition and modernity each have a part to play in the contemporary working environment. If you are lucky enough to work in this field, you will know all about the need to adapt.

It's so easy to find out more about the fascinating world of CNC machining and metal fabrication on the web.

Brighton Osteopaths - The Top 5 Treated Conditions

brighton osteopaths
Osteopaths in Brighton see a wide range of conditions, but there are some that are more common, most people have heard of them, but do you really know what they are? What are their symptoms, causes and treatment? Here, we have the top five most common conditions treated by osteopaths.

Frozen Shoulder

Frozen shoulder, properly known as adhesive capsulitis or shoulder contracture, is a painful condition that restricts the movement of the shoulder.

The condition is caused when the tissue around the shoulder becomes inflamed and thickened. Frozen Shoulder can be treated by Osteopaths in Brighton, who will stretch and loosen the muscles, relieving pain and inflammation. In the meantime, anti-inflammatory painkillers such as Ibuprofen can help.

Runners Knee

Runner’s Knee is a condition that, as the name suggests, affects runners who perform activities which include a lot of knee bending.
The pain is located around the kneecap. Sometimes Runner’s Knee can require surgery but most of the time rest, painkillers and elevating, compressing and icing the knee can provide relief.

Repetitive Strain Injury

Repetitive strain injury (RSI), also called ‘work-related limb disorder’ causes pain in the muscles, nerves and tendons which are used when performing a particular activity repeatedly or for long periods of time.
Affecting 1 in 50 workers in the UK, RSI usually affects the forearm, wrists, hands, elbow, back and shoulders and is mainly attributed to working with computers or other repetitive manual work.
Taking breaks from repetitive manual activity is the best way to prevent and help RSI. Massage and light exercise such as swimming can also be of benefit.

Sciatica

sussex osteopaths
Sciatica is pain caused by irritation or compression of the sciatic nerve which runs from the back of your pelvis, along your buttocks and down both legs, finishing at each foot.

To prevent sciatica, improve your posture, lift heavy objects properly and always stretch before exercise. Sciatica is normally treated with painkillers and rest but a number of osteopaths in Brighton can recommend a good exercise programme to help with the pain of sciatica.

Arthritis

Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis and affects an estimated 8.5 million people in the UK. In Osteoarthritis, the bone cartilage begins to waste away which then results in friction in the bones which can be very painful.

Keeping Secrets

london private detective
Unfortunately, marital infidelity is a relatively common occurrence these days, despite the fact that it is still regarded as a taboo subject for many people. The rapid increase in Internet usage has increased the range of opportunities for married people to meet like-minded individuals, allowing any computer user to be just a mouse-click away from a chat with a complete stranger.

For the spouse who is left to cope with the aftermath of an affair it can be an extremely upsetting experience, especially if the infidelity is only discovered by mistake. The shock to the system can be painful to deal with, of course, but it is surely preferable to know the truth rather than to forever wonder about what may or not be happening.

Those who are cheating on a spouse may be wondering whether their other half is suspicious of their recent behavior. In some cases, wives and husbands have invested in private London detectives or covert listening equipment in order to find out whether anything is going on behind their backs. Thanks to a bug sweeping operation, however, it is possible to discover such devices in no time at all.

Be sure that you are in a safe, secure environment

In the surveillance sector, bug sweeps are a relatively common practice. Both domestic and commercial clients have felt the need to contact a London private detective in order to declare a room, a car or a specific area to be free from eavesdroppers. It is never easy to deal with suspicion, of course, but it is reassuring to know there is technology that can help.

If you’re thinking about using the skills and experience of a professional in the surveillance field, you will find there are a number of specialists who can help you. It is a good idea to discuss your options with the individual first, and of course to obtain a rough idea of how much it will cost. Expert help may not be particularly cheap, but the results of a successful operation can be priceless.

Bug sweeps offer a highly effective way to make sure you are not being listened to, so if you are even remotely suspicious of outside eavesdropping you need to enlist some specialist help. If you live in London, private detective agencies can be found in all parts of the city. Peace of mind is only a very short phone call away.

Metal Fabrication can be an Excellent Career Choice

metal fabrication

If you’re one of those people who have an inquisitive mind, you may already be aware of the way metal can be shaped and manipulated into a bewildering variety of forms. Metal fabrication has been with us for many years, of course, but in recent times it has become increasingly versatile. Some see it as a necessary industrial process, while others may even view it as something of an art form.

The majority of jobs carried out at the average metal fabrication workshop will be for specific uses. Staircases, false ceilings, handrails and fencing are just some examples of what can be achieved, but it’s important to remember that a significant number of artists also use the same principles and the same processes in their attempts to make our world a more attractive place.

Metal fabrication isn’t one of those jobs which you can just walk into and achieve good results immediately. It takes a great deal of training before you will be able to perform adequately, partly because you need to have an understanding of how various metals are worked on, and what you can and can’t do with the materials and tools which are available.

Safety is Always a Top Priority in Metal Fabrication

As well as training in how to perform various tasks which come under the metal fabrication umbrella, you will also need a sound education in health and safety issues. The use of heavy duty tools and cutting equipment is by necessity a dangerous activity, and if it’s carried out by poorly trained individuals the consequences can be extremely serious. Thankfully, professional training is available both in-house and in college workshops.

If you are currently considering a career in metal fabrication, or perhaps you fancy your chances as an up and coming artist who wants to work in this area, the sensible strategy involves a chat to those in the know. Schools, colleges and universities will be able to offer more information, of course, but it may also pay to just call a local engineering company and ask for information.

It isn’t always easy to obtain a start in the industry of your choice, but if you manage to get in the door the rewards can be highly attractive. As in all such industries, you will need to start on the bottom rung of the ladder, but once you acquire the skills along the way you can improve your prospects with ease. It’s a great industry to work in, so make some enquiries today.

Ways to Make Your CNC Machining Metal Fabrication Business More Efficient

metal fabrication
The CNC machining engineering sector of the metal fabrication industry is as competitive as any other in the 21st century. Companies of all shapes and sizes are constantly on the lookout for ways to become more efficient and therefore more profitable. Owners of every organisation will have their own idea about the best strategies, and here are five which may or may not tick all of their boxes.

1   Location, Location, Location

There comes a time in the evolution of most companies when owners start to ask questions about their location. Remaining in the same premises for many years is all very well, but if you are getting further and further away from your customer base you may need to review the situation with some urgency. There should be very little room for sentiment when you’re making such a decision.

2    Regular Reviews are a Must

cnc machining millingWhen the order books are full and the operation is running smoothly, you may not think too often about reviewing your operations. It should be borne in mind, however, that changes occur and can pass you by because you’re too busy. Make sure you review every aspect of your business on a regular basis, because you can always make improvements.

3    Invest In Your Metal Fabrication Future
It’s vital that you remain as competitive as possible, and to do this you need to be using the most efficient processes. Investing in CNC machining metal fabrication technology is one way to keep pace with your rivals, because it brings you a chance to offer precise engineering results to clients time after time. The initial expenditure is likely to be high, of course, but the investment may well be worth it.

4)    Monitor CNC Machining Staff Performances

Any engineering company is only ever as good as the people who work there. Without the right people in the right roles, the quality of your end products will suffer, and this will usually result in a drop in customer numbers. Relevant training is a must, and if you are employing individuals who are doing a particularly good job you need to make sure they want to stay with you.

5)    Keep looking for orders

milling cnc machiningUnless your organisation is one of those which have full order books all the time, you need to be as proactive as possible for you to remain successful. In order to achieve this, you simply have to keep pushing for orders from clients. It’s all very well to invest in CNC machining, for example, but if the machines are standing idle for too long you are likely to start feeling the pinch.

Pilates in Sussex – Exercise After Hip Replacement

(This post is an extract from a much fuller article about the use of Pilates to aid recovery after a hip replacement in the US.  You can read the full article at: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2674181/ )

pilates in sussex
Our aging population in Sussex and Brighton is leading to an ever increasing number of people undergoing surgery to replace worn out joints, particularly hip.  While there is often a battle to get the surgery in first place, with long waiting lists a major problem for the Health Service, most people focus on the operation itself.  The operation itself is, however, only the first stage in what can be a long term recovery process.

Physical therapy becomes a large part of the life of a recovering patient, and getting this right can make a big difference in the speed at which people can get their lives back to normal.

The Pilates Approach

pilates in brightonIt has long been recognised that strengthening the core area of the body increases the stability of the lower body, improving its movement and balance which in turn keeps it strong and healthy.  This makes Pilates in Sussex and Brighton an ideal exercise for people looking to regain their fitness after a hip replacement operation.

The Right Regime

sussex pilatesPilates incorporates a whole range of exercises that both strengthen and mobilise both the core and hip areas.  The correct combination for each individual can therefore be selected to allow for the initial range of motion and any post-operative pain being experienced. Ideally the exercise regime can actually start before the operation, so a certain amount of core strength can already be developed.  Again, the exercises selected would allow for the current degree, or lack of, mobility and pain being experienced by the patient.
Experience has shown that the best benefits are gained if a pre-operative regime of Pilates exercises is undertaken for one to two 2 hours, three or four times a week.  After the operation, an increasing program of sessions should be undertaken, increasing steadily to match the healing process.  This tends to follow the stages of starting very gently, with the guidance of the surgeon, from two weeks after the operation to gradually strengthen and mobilise the joint.  After six weeks or so, this can be built up to a similar regime to that of the pre-operative phase and on through to full health.  The ideal situation is for the same Pilates instructor to be carrying out the training all the way through the process to ensure a consistency is maintained.

The Basic Principles

The hip and core exercises all apply the 6 basic principles of all Pilates workouts.

1. Centering – this is the foundation of all Pilates exercise movements, and requires core muscles to be stabilised before starting arm or leg movements.
2. Control – this refers to the need to monitor movements while doing the Pilates exercises, and always being aware of, and being in control of, the appropriate muscle groups.
3. Precision – Making sure the exercise is completed fully and with the proper form and execution.
4. Concentration – Staying fully focused on the exercise and nothing else.
5. Breath – Ensuring the proper breathing is used throughout the exercise, i.e. inhalation is used to prepare for the movement, and exhalation is used to execute the movement, activate core muscle support, and intensify the movement.
6. Flow – This is ensuring the proper transition of one movement to the next.
